Round 304 stainless, not flat steel
Most shades are framed with flat steel wire. It corrodes, and its edge works through the mesh at the fold. Ours is round-profile 304 stainless — it doesn't rust, and it doesn't cut the fabric it sits in.

What customers say
Works well, cuts the heat and the UV. Only thing I'd mention is the courier left them on the front step in the rain, box was soaked. Product inside was in plastic so it survived, but would've been nice to get a card in the letterbox instead. Shades themselves are spot on though.
Didn't expect much for the price tbh but they're decent. Snug fit, doesn't look dodgy from the outside, and the interior is noticeably cooler. Delivery was quick too, ordered Wednesday arrived Saturday in regional Vic.
My third pair over the years for different cars. Always come back to these. The magnetic edge is way better than the stick on type that goes manky after a summer. These just wipe clean and keep going.
Pretty happy with these. Took me a minute to figure out the best position on the front windows but once they're on you don't really think about it. Rear ones were dead easy. Keeps the heat down which is all I wanted.
Had mine about six weeks. Still on tight, haven't had to reposition any of them. We get afternoon sun straight into the carport and the front seats used to be untouchable by mid arvo. Not anymore.
