Round 304 stainless, not flat steel
Most shades are framed with flat steel wire. It corrodes, and its edge works through the mesh at the fold. Ours is round-profile 304 stainless — it doesn't rust, and it doesn't cut the fabric it sits in.
Visibility
See out, without being seen
The mesh is open enough to see through from inside and dense enough to keep the cabin private from outside. Windows still wind down, and air still moves through.

Had a few different sun shades over the years and these are the best so far. The universal fit actually works, they conform to the window shape well. Blocks enough sun that the leather seats don't feel like a frying pan when I get in.
Good shades. Slight delay in dispatch, ordered on a Thursday and they didn't send it till the following Tuesday. Arrived fine after that. Product quality is great, the magnetic strip runs right around the edge so no gaps for sun to sneak through.
No fuss product. Slap em on, done. Took the family down the coast last weekend and the kids actually slept in the back for once instead of whinging about the sun. That alone made these worth it.
The dog used to scrabble at the windows and try to climb in the front every time the sun hit her. These calmed her right down, she just lies in the back now. Magnet hold is strong enough that her tail whacking the window doesn't dislodge them.
Does exactly what it says. The only thing I'd mention is the packaging was a bit excessive for what's inside, massive box for four flat shades. Otherwise no drama, they fit and they work and the heat reduction is noticeable.
