Round 304 stainless, not flat steel
Most shades are framed with flat steel wire. It corrodes, and its edge works through the mesh at the fold. Ours is round-profile 304 stainless — it doesn't rust, and it doesn't cut the fabric it sits in.

What customers say
Stuck these on before a 40 degree day in Adelaide and the difference in the car when I got back in after work was pretty obvious. Steering wheel was still too hot to touch but the seats and the side panels were way cooler than they would've been. Taking them off and putting them back on takes seconds, no reason not to just leave them on though.
Can't really review these properly yet because I only just got them after waiting the better part of a month. What I can say is they fit well and seem well made. Just really annoyed at how long the wait was, especially with no communication for the first two weeks. Product seems fine, just wish I'd had it when I needed it.
Wife reckons these are the best thing I've bought for the car. High praise given she usually rolls her eyes at my car accessories. They genuinely keep the heat down and the kids stop squinting in the back. Quick to put on and take off too.
Third set of shades I've bought for this car, first ones that haven't been rubbish. The others were either too flimsy, wouldn't stay on, or blocked too much visibility. These let you see out fine but keep the direct sun off you. Should've just got these first time round.
Good set of shades. They work, they stay on, they cut the heat. Only thing I'd say is the front ones could be a touch bigger to cover a bit more of the top of the glass but that's a minor thing. Overall solid for the price.
