Round 304 stainless, not flat steel
Most shades are framed with flat steel wire. It corrodes, and its edge works through the mesh at the fold. Ours is round-profile 304 stainless — it doesn't rust, and it doesn't cut the fabric it sits in.
Visibility
See out, without being seen
The mesh is open enough to see through from inside and dense enough to keep the cabin private from outside. Windows still wind down, and air still moves through.

Good product, fit is fine, heat reduction is noticeable. Only thing is it was on backorder for about a week before it shipped. Got an email about it which was fair enough but still a bit of a wait. Happy with what arrived though.
Works well, does what you'd want. I leave mine on permanently and they've been fine through rain and car washes. Magnets haven't weakened at all.
Glad I got the front and rear set. The rears are perfect for the kids. Front ones took a tiny bit of fiddling to get sitting right but once they're on they stay. Took a point off cos I reckon the front could sit a touch tighter on the curve but it's minor, doesn't really bother me.
Third set of shades I've bought over the years and the first ones I haven't wanted to rip off after a week. They sit flush against the window and don't flap around with the window down. Got all four windows covered for a fair price.
Stuck these on before a drive to the coast and forgot they were there until I pulled up and noticed how much cooler the inside felt. Passenger side was noticeably less hot than usual. Simple product, works.
