Round 304 stainless, not flat steel
Most shades are framed with flat steel wire. It corrodes, and its edge works through the mesh at the fold. Ours is round-profile 304 stainless — it doesn't rust, and it doesn't cut the fabric it sits in.
Visibility
See out, without being seen
The mesh is open enough to see through from inside and dense enough to keep the cabin private from outside. Windows still wind down, and air still moves through.

I was skeptical about the magnetic thing thinking they'd just fall off every time you shut the door but they really don't. The strip runs the full length of the edge so it grips properly. Had mine on for about six weeks now through some windy weather and doors slamming, still in the same spot I put them.
Shades are great quality and I'm happy with how they perform. But there was a backorder issue and nobody told me until I followed up a week after ordering. Got sorted eventually but would've been good to know upfront instead of chasing it myself.
Quick delivery, well packed, easy to install. That's about all you want really. They work.
Happy with the purchase. Fit was good, covers the glass pretty much completely. Only reason not 5 stars is one of the rear shades had a tiny mark on the mesh, like a small smudge from manufacturing. Not enough to bother sending back but worth mentioning. Still works perfectly.
Second set of these, bought one for my car last year and just got another for my partners. They last, the first set is still going strong after a Perth summer. Heat here is no joke and these cop a lot of direct sun, still look the same as the day I put them on.
