About these MERCEDES GLS 450 sun shades
As the biggest SUV in the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 carries a lot of passengers behind a lot of glass. Tailored shades tame heat and glare for the rear rows, protect kids in car seats from UV, and keep the large cabin from soaking up sun while parked.

Build quality
Round 304 stainless, not flat steel
Most shades are framed with flat steel wire. It corrodes, and its edge works through the mesh at the fold. Ours is round-profile 304 stainless — it doesn't rust, and it doesn't cut the fabric it sits in.
Visibility
See out, without being seen
The mesh is open enough to see through from inside and dense enough to keep the cabin private from outside. Windows still wind down, and air still moves through.

Doesn't completely block the sun but cuts it down massively, enough that the kids stopped squinting in the back seat. Easy to fit, took my wife about two minutes for the whole lot. Would buy again.
My third set of these over the years for different cars. Always reliable. This time got front and rear and the fit on all four is good. The magnetic edge is the key thing, way better than trying to mess around with suction cups or static cling ones.
Happy with them. The material feels like it'll last. Only minor thing is they came in a pretty flimsy bag rather than a proper box, looked a bit rough when it turned up. Shades were undamaged though and they work well.
