Ford Laser Sun Shades
The Ford Laser is a small car whose side glass takes the brunt of the Australian sun, and the back seat is where that is felt first. These are magnetic mesh shades cut to the Laser's own window shapes — not a universal panel trimmed to fit. They hold on the door frame, come off in seconds, and fold flat in the door pocket.

Why Ford Laser owners choose custom shades
Cooler in the back
Shading the rear glass takes the direct sun off the second row, which is where passengers and child seats feel it first.
Less glare, less squinting
Cuts the low sun that washes out the side mirrors on a morning or afternoon commute.
Protects the interior
UV is what fades the trim and cracks the dash; blocking it at the glass is cheaper than re-trimming.
Privacy when parked
Obscures the cabin and whatever is on the back seat, without tinting the car.
Features
Cut to Laser glass
Patterned to the door shapes of the Laser in our workshop photos, so the panel sits flush instead of leaving the wedge a universal shade leaves.
Magnetic edge
The border holds on the door frame itself — no suction cups to drop off the glass on a hot day, and nothing to fit with tools.
Round 304 stainless frame
Flat steel wire rusts and works through the mesh at the fold. A round stainless frame does neither.
Fitment for your Ford Laser
Our Laser listing has no build years attached, and the workshop photos show a late-1990s Laser sedan. The Laser was sold here over several generations, in sedan and hatch bodies with different door glass, so please send us a photo of your car (and the build date if you have it) before ordering, and we will confirm whether this set fits.
Covers: Front driver and passenger windows, Rear passenger windows.
Installation
- Match the cut panel to the window shape.
- Bring the magnetic edge to the door frame to grip.
- Press the border flush so there is no gap at the top corner.
- Lift from one corner to remove; fold flat to store.
Ford Laser sun shade FAQs
- Will these fit my Laser?
- Send us a photo of your Laser and the build date before ordering. The listing is not tied to a year range and the workshop photos show a late-1990s sedan, so we confirm the fit against your car first.
- Do the windows still work?
- Yes. The panel sits on the frame, not in the channel, so the glass winds up and down normally.
- Will they block airflow?
- No — the mesh is dense enough to cut UV and glare while still passing air, which is the point of mesh over a solid blind.
