Mazda 2 Sun Shades — Cut for the 2016–2025 Car
A light car heats up faster than a big one. There is less cabin air to warm, the glass sits closer to the people in it, and in a Mazda 2 the back seat is right up against the rear door window with nothing between it and the afternoon sun. These shades are cut from measurements taken on an actual 2016–2025 Mazda 2 rather than scaled from a template, so each panel sits flush inside its own frame with no bright strip along the top and nothing pressing on the door seals.

Why Mazda 2 owners choose custom shades
Cut to this generation, not "a small Mazda"
The Mazda 2's door apertures changed with this generation and they are not interchangeable with the earlier car. The panels here are measured to the 2016–2025 frames, which is why they reach the top edge of the glass instead of stopping short of it the way a universal shade does.
The rear pair first, if anyone sits in the back
Rear door glass is the one window a sun visor can never help with, and in a car this size it is directly beside a child seat or a passenger's shoulder. Most Mazda 2 owners buy the rear pair and stop there; it is the cheapest change that actually fixes the complaint.
A separate panel for the boot glass
The hatch's rear window is a large, steeply raked pane and it is what bakes the back of the cabin when the car is parked in the open. It is listed on its own so you only pay for it if your car actually parks outside all day.
Keeps the windows usable
The mesh is see-through from the inside and it keeps working with the window wound down — sun, dust and insects stay out while the air comes in. That matters more in a light car with a small air conditioning system than it does in a big SUV.
Features
Front door pair — $49.99
Cut short of the mirror so your sightline and side mirror stay clear, which is what the road rules in every Australian state and territory require.
Rear door pair — $59.99
The usual starting point and the most popular single purchase for this car.
Front and rear, four pieces — $99.99
Both rows covered. The step up most Mazda 2 owners take if the car lives outdoors.
Boot / tailgate window — $59.99
The rear glass on its own, or bundled with the rear doors for $108.99.
The lot, six pieces — $154.99
Front doors, rear doors and the boot glass together.
100% black polyester mesh
Blocks UV and cuts glare and cabin heat while staying see-through from the inside. It works alongside factory or aftermarket tint rather than against it.
Fitment for your Mazda 2
Cut for the Mazda 2 built between 2016 and 2025, hatch and sedan. If your car is a 2015 or earlier Mazda 2, the window shapes differ and this set will not fit — search the catalogue for the earlier range instead. The Mazda 2 is sold as the Demio in Japan, so if you are looking at an import, that is the same car and these panels suit it. Check the build date on your compliance plate if you are near either end of the range, and send it to us if you want it confirmed before you order.
Covers: Front door windows, Rear door windows, Boot / tailgate window.
Installation
- Hold the panel up to the top of the window frame and let the magnets take hold.
- Work down one side, then the other, so the mesh sits flat rather than bowed in the middle.
- Press the bottom edge into the frame and check the corners for gaps.
- To take it out, lift one top corner and the rest follows. Store the panels flat rather than folded.
Mazda 2 sun shade FAQs
- Will these fit my Mazda 2 hatch and my partner's sedan?
- The door window shades suit both body styles across 2016–2025. The boot glass is different between the hatch and the sedan, so if you are ordering the boot panel, tell us which body you have and we will send the right one.
- Does it fit a Mazda 2 from 2014?
- No. The previous generation has different door apertures and this cut will not sit properly in them. Search the catalogue for your exact year rather than ordering this set and hoping it stretches.
- Is this the same as a Mazda Demio?
- Yes. Demio is the Japanese name for the same car, so if you have an imported Demio of this generation these panels suit it.
- Can I leave them in while driving?
- The rear door shades are made to stay in during normal driving. The front pair is cut short of the mirror so your view and side mirror stay clear. We recommend removing them at highway speeds.
- Will the magnets mark the paint on the door frame?
- No. They grip the painted steel of the frame and the panel sits inside the aperture — there is no adhesive and nothing wedged against the rubber seal. Keep the frame clean of grit before fitting, the same as you would with anything that touches paint.
- What if the set I want shows as out of stock?
- Stock on a light-car cut moves quickly. Check the product page for current availability — if the combination you want is unavailable, get in touch with your make, model and year and we will tell you when the next run is cut.
