Custom-Fit Sun Shades for the MG HS
The HS is one of the fastest-selling SUVs in Australia and one of the hardest to buy accessories for — most universal shades are cut for a Toyota or a Mazda and leave a gap down the side of the HS door frame. Ours are measured on an actual HS, cut, fitted back on the car and adjusted until the mesh sits flush.

Why MG HS owners choose custom shades
Cut for the HS, not an average SUV
The HS rear door glass has a distinct taper towards the C-pillar. A universal shade leaves a wedge of uncovered glass exactly where the afternoon sun comes in. Ours does not.
Airflow with the window down
The shade holds on the frame, so it keeps blocking sun, dust and insects with the window wound down — useful on a hot car park afternoon.
From $49.99
Start with the rear doors, where the passengers and the child seats are, and add the fronts later if you want the glare gone too.
Features
100% black polyester mesh
Blocks UV, cuts glare and reduces cabin heat. Effective on its own or layered over existing window film.
Magnetic mounting
Holds securely in normal driving. Remove at highway speeds.
Clear view out, harder view in
From inside the cabin you see out normally. From outside, in daylight, the mesh makes it meaningfully harder to see what is on the seat.
Fitment for your MG HS
Fits the MG HS mid-size SUV. Sets cover the front doors, rear doors and boot glass. Not interchangeable with the MG ZS — the door apertures differ and each has its own measured set.
Covers: Front door windows (2 pcs) — $49.99, Rear door windows (2 pcs) — $59.99, Front & rear door windows (4 pcs) — $99.99, Boot / tailgate window — $59.99, Rear doors + boot window (4 pcs) — $109.99, Front & rear doors + boot window (6 pcs) — $155.
Installation
- Hold the shade to the inside of the window frame — the magnets locate themselves.
- Thumb the edge down so the mesh sits flat with no bow.
- Wind the window down if you want airflow; the shade stays on the frame.
- Lift from a corner to remove, store flat in the door pocket.
MG HS sun shade FAQs
- Do MG ZS shades fit the HS?
- No. The HS and ZS have different door apertures and each has its own measured set. Ordering the wrong one leaves gaps.
- Will they mark the door seals?
- No. The mesh sits inside the frame and the magnets hold against the steel, so there is nothing pressing on or rubbing the rubber.
- Can I use them with the window down?
- Yes. The shade mounts to the frame, not the glass, so it works either way.
