MINI Countryman Sun Shades (2011–2022)

The Countryman is the MINI people actually put children in, and the one that spends summer weekends parked in the open. Its rear doors carry far more glass than the Cooper hatch, which is exactly where afternoon sun lands on a child seat. We cut shades to the Countryman's own window outlines — the R60 and the larger 2017–2022 car are different shapes, and they get different patterns.

Why MINI Countryman owners choose custom shades

Real coverage on the rear doors

The Countryman's back windows are tall and squared off. A full-door panel shades the whole seating position rather than leaving a bright strip along the top rail, which is where a universal screen usually gives up.

Keeps the cabin liveable when parked

A dark Countryman interior soaks up heat fast in an open car park. Blocking direct sun through the side glass takes the worst of it out before you get back in.

Nothing stuck to the glass

The magnetic border grips the steel door frame, so there are no suction cups leaving rings on the window and nothing clipped to the trim.

Protects a trim that shows its age

MINI interiors are light-coloured and heavily contrast-stitched. UV through the side windows is what fades and hardens them first.

Features

Patterned per shape, not per badge

The R60 Countryman and the 2017–2022 car do not share door glass. Each is measured on the actual vehicle and cut to its own outline.

Countryman S included

The S shares its glass with the standard Countryman of the same years, so the same panels fit — no separate pattern needed.

See-through black mesh

Passengers keep a clear view out and you keep over-the-shoulder visibility; the mesh removes the glare and the heat, not the view.

Windows still work

You can wind the glass down with the shade fitted and it keeps blocking sun, dust and insects.

Fitment for your MINI Countryman

Pick the set that matches your Countryman's build years. The R60 and the second-generation car (2017–2022) are listed separately because their rear door glass differs. If your build month sits on the changeover, send us the compliance-plate date or the VIN and we will confirm the right cut before dispatch.

Covers: Front driver and passenger windows, Rear passenger windows.

Installation

  1. Match each panel to its window — every piece is shaped for one position.
  2. Bring the magnetic edge up to the steel door frame and let it seat itself.
  3. Press the corners flat so no light gets through at the edges.
  4. Lift from a corner to remove; panels store flat under a seat or in the boot.

MINI Countryman sun shade FAQs

Do the same shades fit the Countryman S?
Yes. The S shares its door glass with the standard Countryman of the same generation, so the 2017–2022 set covers both.
Will they fit an R60 Countryman?
The R60 has its own listing. It is a smaller, differently shaped rear door, so the second-generation panels will not sit correctly on it.
Can I leave the rear shades on while driving?
Yes — rear-window shades can stay fitted on the road. Front-door shades are for use while parked.
Do they work over factory tint?
Yes. The shades mount to the door frame rather than the glass, so they sit over tint and add to it.
