Mitsubishi ASX Sun Shades
The ASX has spent more than a decade as one of Australia's default small SUVs — a first car, a second car, a commuter that lives outside rather than in a garage. That is the profile where side-glass sun does the most damage: hot seats every afternoon, and rear passengers with no escape from it. Our shades are cut to the ASX's own door glass, so they sit inside the frame rather than being trimmed down from a universal screen.

Why Mitsubishi ASX owners choose custom shades
Shades the seat, not just the middle of the window
A panel cut to the ASX's door outline reaches the corners, so a rear passenger or child seat is covered end to end instead of catching sun down one side.
A cooler cabin on a car that parks outside
Most ASXs live in open car parks and on the street. Cutting direct sun through the side glass is what stops the cabin baking while you are at work.
Nothing on the glass
The magnetic border grips the steel door frame, so there are no suction cups to mark the window or drop off in summer heat.
Keeps a hard-working interior looking newer
UV through side windows fades seat fabric and hardens dash plastics — the first things a buyer notices on a ten-year-old small SUV.
Features
Measured on the car
Each pattern is taken from an actual ASX, produced, fitted back to the vehicle and adjusted until it sits flush before it goes on sale.
Known by three names
Sold here as the ASX, and overseas as the Outlander Sport and the RVR. Same car, same glass, same shades — our listing carries all three names.
See-through black mesh
The mesh strips out glare and UV while keeping the view out, so over-the-shoulder visibility and blind-spot checks are unaffected.
Works with the window down
Wound down, the shade still blocks sun, dust and insects — handy on a car that spends summer with the windows open.
Fitment for your Mitsubishi ASX
The ASX ran with the same basic body through its Australian life, so one cut covers the run. If your car has been fitted with aftermarket window bars or a non-standard rear seal, tell us before you order and we will check the fit first.
Covers: Front driver and passenger windows, Rear passenger windows.
Installation
- Match the panel to its window — each piece is shaped for one position.
- Bring the magnetic edge to the steel door frame and let it seat itself.
- Press the corners flat so no light gets through along the frame.
- Lift from a corner to remove; panels stack flat in the boot.
Mitsubishi ASX sun shade FAQs
- Is the ASX the same as the Outlander Sport?
- Yes — ASX in Australia, Outlander Sport in North America, RVR in Japan. Same body and same glass, so the same shades fit.
- Will the Outlander set fit an ASX?
- No. The Outlander is a larger vehicle with different rear door glass and has its own listing.
- Can I leave them on while driving?
- Rear-window shades can stay fitted on the road. Front-door shades are for use while parked.
- Do they work over factory tint?
- Yes. The shades mount to the door frame rather than the glass, so they sit over tint and add to it.
