Toyota Corolla Sun Shades (1997–2025)
The Corolla has been Australia's default small car for decades — learner cars, fleet sedans, hatchbacks doing the school run in every suburb. It's a compact cabin, so back-seat passengers sit right against the door glass and a low westerly sun lands straight on them. We cut shades to the door window outlines of five separate Corolla generations, and they hold on magnetically, so the back seat gets real shade on the drive and the car isn't an oven after a day in an uncovered work car park.

Why Toyota Corolla owners choose custom shades
Shade where the child seat actually sits
In a car this size a child seat is hard against the rear door glass. The rear pair puts mesh exactly over that window instead of a universal rectangle that leaves a third of the glass bare.
Takes the sting out of the afternoon commute
Corolla side glass sits low and close to the occupants. A sun that's dropped below the visor comes in sideways onto whoever is in the back — mesh panels cut that glare without blacking out the window.
A cooler cabin after a day parked
Corollas spend their lives in open car parks and on the street rather than in garages. Keeping direct sun off the seats means the climate control isn't starting from a baking cabin every afternoon.
Slows the fade on older interiors
Plenty of Corollas on the road now have fifteen or twenty Australian summers behind them. Keeping the sun off the seats and door trims slows the fading and cracking that follows.
Features
Cut per Corolla generation
The door glass changed shape with every generation, so we hold separate patterns for the 1997–2000, 2002–2007, 2008–2014, 2015–2022 and 2023–2025 cars. You buy the set cut for your years, not a one-size panel.
Magnetic mounting, no suction cups
The border grips the steel frame around the door glass. Nothing sticks to the window and nothing drops into the door card halfway down the freeway.
See-through mesh
Like a fly screen — passengers can still watch the road go by and you keep a usable view in the mirrors, while the bulk of direct sun and glare is blocked.
Off in seconds, stores flat
Lift a corner and the panel comes away. They fold flat into a Corolla door pocket or under the parcel shelf, so they live in the car rather than in the shed.
Fitment for your Toyota Corolla
We cut Corolla sets for five year spans: 1997–2000, 2002–2007, 2008–2014, 2015–2022 and 2023–2025. Please read those dates carefully — there is a genuine gap at 2001, and we do not currently have a pattern for a 2001-build Corolla. If that's your car, contact us with your build year and VIN before ordering rather than guessing at the set either side of it; we'd rather tell you honestly that we can't cut yours yet than ship a set that won't sit right. Every Corolla set covers the four door windows, sold as a front pair, a rear pair, or all four together, and it fits sedan and hatch door glass of the same generation. The 2008–2014 cars are the only Corolla we also make a boot/tailgate window shade for, on its own or combined with the door sets.
Covers: Front driver and passenger door windows, Rear passenger door windows, All four door windows as one set, Boot / tailgate window (2008–2014 Corolla only).
Installation
- Match each panel to its window — the front and rear door shapes are different.
- Hold the magnetic border up to the steel frame around the glass and let it pull on.
- Run a finger around the edge so it sits flush into the corners of the frame.
- Peel from one corner to remove, then fold flat into the door pocket.
Toyota Corolla sun shade FAQs
- I have a 2001 Corolla — which set do I buy?
- Neither, at this stage. Our patterns run 1997–2000 and then pick up again at 2002, and 2001 falls in the gap between them. Send us your build year and VIN and we'll check it properly; if we can't cut a set for your car we'll tell you rather than sell you the closest thing.
- Do these fit the hatch as well as the sedan?
- Yes, for the door windows. The four door glass shapes are shared across the body styles within a generation, so the front pair, rear pair and four-piece set fit either. The boot/tailgate shade is a different matter — we only make one for the 2008–2014 Corolla.
- Can I buy just the rear pair?
- Yes, and it's the most popular choice for parents. The rear pair covers the two back door windows, which is where a child seat or a napping passenger sits.
- Can I leave them on while driving?
- The rear shades are made to stay on. Fit the front pair while the car is parked — to pre-cool it before you get in — and take them off before you drive so the front side windows are clear.
- Will they mark the paint or the glass?
- They shouldn't — the magnets sit on the painted steel frame, not on the glass, and there is no adhesive involved. Wipe grit off the frame before fitting, the same as you would before wiping down a door.
