The mesh is 100% black polyester, and on a sedan that counts for more than people expect. The rear door glass sits right beside where a booster seat goes, and a window that size lets a lot of afternoon heat into the back. You still see out through the mesh. From the footpath, it's hard to see in.

These were measured on an actual car, cut, fitted back onto that same car and adjusted until the edges sat flush. The photos are of that finished Elantra. The front pair is cut short of the mirror, so your sightline stays clear and you can still reach out for a ticket at the boom gate.
