GWM Ora Sun Shades
Keeping an electric car cool counts twice: once for comfort, and once for the range you spend on air-con getting there. The Ora is a small hatch with a bright cabin, and the rear doors take the brunt of it. These panels are cut to the Ora's own door openings and seat inside the window frame, so they hold flat and come out in seconds.

Why GWM Ora owners choose custom shades
Less heat in means less cooling out
Shading the side glass keeps the cabin from soaking up heat while the Ora is parked, so the air-con has less to undo when you get back in — and on an EV that is range you keep.
Cut to the Ora, not trimmed to fit
Each panel is shaped to the Ora's door opening, so it sits flush along the frame with no gaps at the corners and nothing dragging on the door seals.
Airflow without the glare
The shade lives inside the door frame rather than on the glass, so you can wind the window down and still have the mesh handling sun, dust and insects.
Nothing stuck to the glass
No adhesive, no suction cups, no tools. The panels go in and out in seconds and store flat in the boot.
Features
100% black polyester mesh
Blocks UV and cuts glare and cabin heat while leaving your view out intact. From outside the cabin is harder to see into.
Holds inside the door frame
The panel seats against the door surround and stays put without clips, tape or tools. Nothing is stuck to the glass.
Front pair, rear pair, or both
Rear doors are the usual starting point, especially with a child seat back there. The four-piece set covers both rows.
Fitment for your GWM Ora
Templated on the Australian-delivered GWM Ora. The car has been sold here under the Ora name and GWM has adjusted the range since launch, so include your build year and variant with the order and we will confirm the panels against your car before cutting. How each panel holds — magnetic border or rubber-edged frame — depends on the vehicle; the product page for your set states which it is.
Covers: Front door windows (driver and passenger), Rear door windows, Four-piece set across both rows.
Installation
- Wind the window fully down.
- Line the panel up with the door opening, top edge first.
- Seat the edge into the window frame and work around the surround until it sits flat.
- Leave the window down for airflow, or wind it up behind the shade.
- Lift one corner to take the panel out.
GWM Ora sun shade FAQs
- Will these actually help my range?
- Indirectly, yes. They do not change how the car drives, but a cooler cabin needs less air-con to bring down to temperature, and on an EV cabin cooling comes straight out of the battery.
- Are car sun shades legal in Australia?
- On the rear passenger windows, yes. The driver's view must stay clear under Australian road rules, so the front panels are cut short of the mirror line and we recommend removing the fronts before highway speeds.
- Do they fit with the window up?
- Yes. Fit the panel with the window down, then wind the glass up behind it if you want the window closed.
- Do I need window tint as well?
- No. The mesh works on its own across the side glass. If the Ora is already tinted the shades add comfort on top, but film is not needed for them to be effective.
