Kia Cerato Sun Shades (2015–2025)

Also known as: K3, Kia Cerato K3

The Cerato does a lot of the ordinary driving in this country — first cars, second cars, the school run, the commute, and long hours parked in the open at work or at the shops. It's a small sedan, so the back seat is close to the door glass and there is not much cabin volume to soak up heat. That combination is why a Cerato feels hotter than a bigger car after the same afternoon in the sun. Our panels are cut to the Cerato's own window shapes and hold on magnetically, so the back seat gets real shade and the car isn't an oven when you get back to it.

Why Kia Cerato owners choose custom shades

Shade where the child seat actually sits

In a car this size the child seat is hard against the rear door glass, and the buckle sitting in the sun gets hot enough to be a problem. The rear pair puts shade exactly there, corner to corner.

Cuts the low-sun glare on the drive home

The Cerato's side glass sits low and close to the passenger. A westerly sun on the way home comes in under the visor and straight at eye level in the back — mesh takes the sting out of it.

Slows the fading on the trim

Plenty of Ceratos on the road now have years of Australian sun behind them. Keeping direct light off the seats, door cards and dash top slows the fading and cracking that follows.

Privacy without touching the glass

Mesh makes it much harder to see what's on the back seat in a shopping-centre car park, and the panels lift straight off — nothing stuck to the window, nothing to strip out before you sell the car.

Features

Cut to Cerato glass

The front doors, rear doors, quarter panes and boot glass are all different shapes, so each is patterned separately for your generation rather than cut from one universal rectangle.

Magnetic mounting, no suction cups

The border grips the painted steel frame around the door glass. Nothing sticks to the window, and nothing drops into the door card halfway down the freeway.

See-through mesh

Like a fly screen — passengers can still watch the road go by and you keep a usable view in the mirrors, while the bulk of direct sun and glare is blocked.

Buy the pieces you need

Front pair, rear pair or the four-door set, with a boot window panel available on its own or bundled in. Most parents start with the rear pair and add from there.

Fitment for your Kia Cerato

In Australia this car is the Cerato; the same car is sold as the K3 in other markets, and you'll see both names on our product listings. We make two sets: 2015–2018 and 2019–2025. That covers 2015 onwards without a break, but earlier Ceratos — anything built before 2015 — are outside what we cut, so please don't order on the assumption it's close enough. Send us the build year and we'll tell you honestly whether we can help. Coverage differs between the two sets as well: 2015–2018 gets the front pair, rear pair, four-door set and a boot window panel, with combinations; 2019–2025 adds the small fixed quarter windows behind the rear doors, so you can shade all eight panes of glass. If your car sits near the 2018/2019 change, send the VIN and we'll confirm the pattern before it ships.

Covers: Front driver and passenger door windows, Rear passenger door windows, Rear quarter windows — the fixed panes behind the rear doors (2019–2025 only), Boot / tailgate glass.

Installation

  1. Match each panel to its window — the front and rear door shapes are different.
  2. Hold the magnetic border up to the steel frame around the glass and let it pull on.
  3. Run a finger around the edge so it sits flush into the corners of the frame.
  4. Peel from one corner to remove, then fold flat into the door pocket.

Kia Cerato sun shade FAQs

Why is it listed as Cerato / K3?
It's the same car under two names — Cerato here, K3 in a number of overseas markets. Our listings carry both so owners find them either way. Order by build year and the fit is the same.
Which Cerato set do I need?
Go by build year: 2015–2018 or 2019–2025. The window shapes changed between them. If your car is a 2018 or 2019 build, send us the VIN and we'll confirm which pattern matches.
Do you cover the small windows behind the rear doors?
On the 2019–2025 Cerato, yes — a rear quarter pair, sold on its own, with the rear doors as a four-piece, or as part of the six-piece and complete sets. The 2015–2018 set doesn't include them.
Is there a shade for the rear glass over the boot?
Yes, for both sets — a boot/tailgate panel, on its own or bundled with the rear doors. It's the piece that makes the biggest difference to how hot the back seat gets while parked.
Can I leave them on while driving?
The rear shades are made to stay on. Fit the front pair while the car is parked — to pre-cool it before you get in — and take them off before you drive so the front side windows are clear.
