Kia Picanto Sun Shades (2006–2025)

Also known as: Kia Morning

The Picanto is the car people buy to squeeze into a tight city car park — a first car, a runabout, the one that lives on the street outside a unit block rather than in a garage. That means it sits in the sun most of the day, and because the cabin is small there is very little air in it to stay cool. Our shades are cut to the Picanto's own door window outlines and hold on magnetically, so the back seat is shaded on the drive and the car isn't an oven when you get back to it.

Why Kia Picanto owners choose custom shades

A small cabin heats up fast

There is barely a metre between the glass and the seats in a Picanto, so parked in the sun it gets hot quickly and stays hot. Keeping direct sun off the seats and trim means the air-conditioning isn't starting from scratch every time.

Shade right where a child seat sits

In a car this narrow a child seat is hard up against the rear door glass. The rear pair puts the shade exactly on that window rather than leaving a strip of bare glass at the top or the back corner.

Covers the tailgate glass too

The Picanto's boot window is short and steeply raked, so afternoon sun comes straight through it onto the load area and the back of the rear seats. A boot/tailgate panel is available on its own or bundled with the door sets.

Privacy in a shopping centre car park

Mesh panels make it much harder to see what's sitting on the back seat or in the boot. They lift straight off — nothing stuck to the glass, nothing to strip out when you sell the car.

Features

Cut to Picanto glass, generation by generation

Each set is patterned from the door window outlines of that generation's body, so the panel follows the frame instead of sitting square across the middle of the window.

Magnetic mounting, no suction cups

The border grips the steel frame around the door glass. Nothing sticks to the window and nothing drops into the door card halfway down the motorway.

See-through mesh

Like a fly screen — passengers can still watch the road go by and you keep a usable view in the mirrors, while the bulk of direct sun and glare is blocked.

Off in seconds, stores flat

Lift a corner and the panel comes away. They fold flat into a Picanto door pocket or under the parcel shelf, which matters in a car with this little spare room.

Fitment for your Kia Picanto

In Australia this car is the Picanto, but it is sold as the Kia Morning in some markets, so you will see our product pages carry the Morning name — same car, same patterns. We list three sets: 2006–2010, 2011–2020 and 2021–2025, which lines up with the three body shapes Kia has built. Pick the set that matches your build year rather than the year you bought the car, because the door glass changed shape between generations. Every set covers the four door windows, and each one also has a boot/tailgate window panel available separately or bundled. If you are unsure which generation you have, send us your build year and VIN and we'll confirm it before you order.

Covers: Front driver and passenger door windows, Rear passenger door windows, All four door windows as one set, Boot / tailgate window.

Installation

  1. Match each panel to its window — the front and rear door shapes are different.
  2. Hold the magnetic border up to the steel frame around the glass and let it pull on.
  3. Run a finger around the edge so it sits flush into the corners of the frame.
  4. Peel from one corner to remove, then fold flat into the door pocket.

Kia Picanto sun shade FAQs

Why do your Picanto products say Morning?
Morning is the name this Kia is sold under in some overseas markets, and it's the name our supplier patterns are catalogued under. It is the same car as the Australian-delivered Picanto — order the set that matches your build year and it will fit.
Which set fits my Picanto?
Go by build year. We cut three sets: 2006–2010, 2011–2020 and 2021–2025. If your car is right on the boundary of two of those, send us the VIN and we'll check which body shape it is before we ship anything.
Can I buy just the rear pair?
Yes, and it's the most popular choice for parents. The rear pair covers the two back door windows, which is where a child seat or a napping passenger sits.
Is there a shade for the boot window?
Yes. All three Picanto generations have a boot/tailgate window panel. You can buy it on its own, with the rear doors, or as part of the full four-door-plus-boot set.
Can I leave them on while driving?
The rear shades are made to stay on. Fit the front pair while the car is parked — to pre-cool it before you get in — and take them off before you drive so the front side windows are clear.
