Mitsubishi Destinator Sun Shades (2025–2026)
Three rows of seats means three rows of glass, and in the Destinator the back row sits hard against the quarter window — the pane no universal shade is ever cut for. That is the panel worth covering first if the third row actually gets used.
These shades are patterned on the Destinator's own apertures rather than trimmed down from a rectangular sheet, so each one sits inside the frame with no bare strip along the top. The range is deliberately modular: start with the rear doors, add the third-row pair when the back seats are in use, and take the tailgate panel if the car parks nose-in.
Why Mitsubishi Destinator owners choose custom shades
Covers the third row properly
The two fixed quarter windows behind the rear doors are where a third-row passenger's head and shoulders sit. They are sold as a pair and are the one opening a universal shade cannot be cut for.
Cooler second row for child seats
The rear door glass is tall and close to a child seat. Shading it takes the direct sun off whoever is back there and knocks the glare down on a long drive.
Shades the cargo bay
The tailgate panel keeps the load area out of direct sun — the one to take if a dog travels behind the third row or the shopping sits there in summer.
Buy only the panels you need
Fifteen combinations are listed, from a single front pair through to the complete all-windows set, so a five-seat-only household is not paying for third-row panels it will never fit.
Features
Cut to Destinator glass
Patterned to the car's own front door, rear door, third-row quarter and tailgate apertures for a flush fit.
Sits in its own frame
Each shade is built on a frame shaped to its window. Nothing adheres to the glass, there are no suction cups to let go in the heat, and the windows still wind down with the shade fitted.
100% black polyester mesh
Blocks UV and cuts glare and cabin heat. You can see out clearly from the inside while it is harder to see in from outside, and air still moves through with a window cracked.
On and off in seconds
Lift each panel from a corner for night driving or the car wash, and store the set flat rather than folded.
Fitment for your Mitsubishi Destinator
Cut to the first-generation Destinator, 2025–2026. Front door shades stop short of the mirror line so your side vision, mirrors and reach to toll and parking cards stay clear; rear door shades cover the full opening. The third-row side windows and the tailgate window are separate pieces and can be bought on their own or with any door set. If you are unsure which panels suit your build, send us your build plate details or a photo of an open rear door and we will confirm before anything is cut.
Covers: Front door windows (driver and passenger), Rear door windows, Third-row side (quarter) windows, Boot / tailgate window.
Installation
- Match each panel to the window it was cut for — they are shaped per position, not interchangeable left to right.
- Seat the frame into the window opening, starting at the top edge.
- Press the border flush the whole way around so there are no light gaps along the seal.
- Take the front panels off before you drive; they are for when the car is parked.
- Lift from a corner to remove, and stack the set flat in the cargo area.
Mitsubishi Destinator sun shade FAQs
- Which panels cover the third row?
- The two fixed quarter windows behind the rear doors. They are sold as a pair and are the glass a third-row passenger sits against.
- Can I order the rear doors only?
- Yes, and it is the most common place to start. The third-row pair and the tailgate panel can be added separately at any time.
- Is there a set that covers every window?
- Yes. The complete set covers the front doors, rear doors, third-row quarters and the tailgate window in one order.
- Are they worth having if the Destinator already has privacy glass?
- Yes. Privacy glass reduces visible light but comparatively little heat. The mesh shade sits inside the door frame and takes out considerably more heat and glare on top of what the tint already does.
- Can I leave them on while driving?
- The rear panels stay put and keep working with the window down. Take the front panels off before you drive, and take the set off at sustained highway speed.
- How do I confirm the right panels for my car?
- Send us your build plate details or a photo of an open rear door. We will confirm the fitment before anything is cut.
