Toyota Crown Sun Shades
A large sedan carries a long rear door window, and the Crown is no exception — which is good for the people in the back until the afternoon sun comes round. A shade cut to that exact aperture fills it corner to corner, rather than leaving the strip along the top edge that a universal shade stretched over a tapering window always leaves. Each set is patterned off a measured Crown, produced at the workshop, refitted to the car and adjusted until it passes.

Why Toyota Crown owners choose custom shades
Fills the frame corner to corner
The Crown's rear glass tapers towards the back of the door. A shade cut to that shape sits flush the whole way along, instead of leaving a wedge of bare glass at the top where the sun comes straight through.
Quieter back seat on a long drive
Dense black mesh takes the direct sun off a passenger's face and knocks the glare down. On a highway run that is the difference most people in the back actually notice.
Windows still wind down
The shade stays put with the glass lowered and keeps blocking sun, dust and insects — useful in stop-start traffic or waiting in a pick-up line.
Nothing stuck to the glass
No suction cups to let go on a hot window, no adhesive on the trim. The shades go on and come off in seconds and can live in the boot between trips.
Features
100% black polyester mesh
Blocks UV and cuts cabin heat and glare. Clear to see out from inside, harder to see in from outside. Works alongside existing window film, and well enough on its own that you do not need film on the side glass.
Measured on the car, not from a size chart
The pattern comes off an actual Crown rather than a table of dimensions, which is why the finished shade sits in the frame without gaps.
Buy the pieces you need
Front pair, rear pair or the full door set, from $49.99, delivered Australia-wide.
No damage to the door seals
Exact dimensions mean the shades sit in the frame without warping or putting pressure on the rubber seals.
Fitment for your Toyota Crown
Cut to the Crown's door apertures. Front door shades stop short of the mirror line so your side vision, mirrors and reach to toll and parking cards stay clear; rear door shades cover the full opening. Front pair, rear pair and the full door set are listed separately, so you can shade only the windows you need.
Covers: Front door windows (driver and passenger), Rear door windows.
Installation
- Wipe the door frame so the shade seats cleanly against it.
- Hold the panel to the top of the opening and let it find the frame.
- Work along the edge so the mesh sits flat with no slack in the middle.
- Check from outside that nothing is proud of the door line, then close the door.
- Take the front shades off before highway speeds.
Toyota Crown sun shade FAQs
- Will these fit my Crown?
- Check the year range shown on the product page before ordering. If your car sits outside it, send us the make, model and build date and we will tell you whether we have a cut for it.
- Are car window shades legal in Australia?
- Mesh shades on the rear side windows are not an issue anywhere in Australia. Front door shades are cut short so the driver's view and mirrors stay clear, and we recommend taking them off at highway speeds. Rules on obstructing a driver's view are set state by state, so check your own if you are unsure.
- Which set should I start with?
- The rear pair, if anyone rides in the back — that is where the sun lands hardest and where a booster or rear-facing seat sits. Add the front pair if the driver and front passenger want the glare off as well.
- Do they work over the factory tint?
- Yes. The shade sits in the door frame rather than on the glass, so it goes on top of whatever tint or film the car already has.
