Kia Cerato Sun Shades — Cerato, K3, Forte and Spectra Fitment (2004–2025)
Kia Cerato Sun Shades
The Cerato is the hardest car in the Kia range to order shades for, and it is nothing to do with the car. It is the naming. The same small sedan and hatch has been sold as the Cerato, the K3, the Forte and — before that — the Spectra, and Auto Sunshades lists eight products across those names.
This page tells you which one is yours. All are from $49.99.
Start with the build year
Compliance plate in the driver's door jamb. Build year, not registration year.
| Build years | Listed as | Body | Product |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2004–2008 | Cerato | not split | Cerato 2004–2008 |
| 2015–2018 | Cerato / K3 | not split | Cerato / K3 2015–2018 |
| 2019–2025 | Cerato / K3 | not split | Cerato / K3 2019–2025 |
| 2022–2025 | K3 / Cerato | not split | K3 / Cerato 2022–2025 |
And four listings carry no year range at all:
| Listed as | Body | Product |
|---|---|---|
| Cerato / Forte | not stated | Cerato / Forte |
| Cerato / Forte Hatchback | hatch | Cerato / Forte Hatchback |
| Cerato Hatchback | hatch | Cerato Hatchback |
| Spectra | not split | Spectra |
Three things to check before you order
I would rather flag these than let you find out after delivery.
1. The 2022–2025 overlap. Two products cover 2022 to 2025: the Cerato / K3 2019–2025 and the K3 / Cerato 2022–2025. If your car was built in that window, both listings nominally cover it. Confirm which one matches your car before ordering rather than picking one — a 2022 build is exactly the case where it matters.
2. One listing states no body style. The Cerato / Forte listing carries neither a year range nor a body style. Sitting alongside two hatchback listings it is most likely the sedan, but the catalogue does not say so. Confirm before ordering.
3. The undated hatchback listings. There are two hatch listings — Cerato / Forte Hatchback and Cerato Hatchback — and neither carries a year range, so they cannot be told apart on build year alone. If you have a Cerato hatch, check which is right for your generation before ordering.
Both of these are catalogue-structure issues, not fitment mysteries. Asking first costs you a message and saves a return.
The names, decoded
- Cerato is the Australian-market name throughout.
- K3 is the Chinese and Korean-market name for the same car. It appears on the 2015–2018, 2019–2025 and 2022–2025 listings, and on the undated Cerato / Forte listings.
- Forte is the North American and Korean name. Same car.
- Spectra is the earlier generation, and its listing also carries Cerato and Sephia as alternate names. If your car predates 2004, the Spectra listing is the one to look at.
None of these are different vehicles. They are the same nameplate sold under different badges, which is why one search term will not find them all.
Years with no dated listing
As at this catalogue snapshot, 2009 to 2014 has no dated Cerato product. The dated listings run 2004–2008 and then pick up at 2015. Cars built in that window may be covered by one of the four undated listings above, but the catalogue does not say so explicitly — so that is a confirm-before-ordering case too.
This is a snapshot of what is listed today, not a statement that nothing exists.
