Holden Cruze Sun Shades (2010–2020)

For years the Cruze was the small Holden everyone knew — built at Elizabeth for part of its life, sold as a sedan and a hatch, and still doing school runs and commutes all over the country. It is a compact cabin with the rear seat pushed hard against the door glass, so a low westerly sun lands straight on whoever is in the back. Our panels are cut to the Cruze's own window outlines and hold on magnetically, so the back seat gets shade on the drive and the car isn't an oven after a day in the work car park.

Why Holden Cruze owners choose custom shades

Shade right where the child seat sits

In a car this size a booster or capsule sits hard against the rear door glass. The rear pair covers exactly that window rather than a universal rectangle that leaves half of it open.

Takes the sting out of the afternoon commute

The Cruze's side glass is low and close. A sun sitting on the horizon on the drive home comes in under the visor and straight at eye level — mesh panels cut that glare without blacking out the window.

Slows the damage to an ageing interior

Most Cruzes on the road have had a decade of Australian summers. Keeping direct sun off the seats, door trims and dash slows the fading and cracking that follows.

A bit of privacy in the car park

Mesh makes it much harder to see what's on the back seat at the shops, and the panels lift straight off — nothing stuck to the glass and nothing to strip out before you sell the car.

Features

Cut to Cruze glass, per window

Front and rear door panels are patterned separately from the actual window outlines, so each one follows the curve of the frame instead of sitting square across the middle of the glass.

Magnetic mounting, no suction cups

The border grips the painted steel frame around the door glass. Nothing sticks to the window and nothing drops into the door card halfway down the motorway.

See-through mesh

Like a fly screen — passengers can still watch the road and you keep a usable view in the mirrors, while the bulk of direct sun and glare is blocked.

Boot-window shade on the later Cruze

The 2016–2020 set adds a boot/tailgate window panel, and combination kits that bundle it with the rear pair or all four doors — useful when the sun is behind you on a long run.

Fitment for your Holden Cruze

We list two Cruze sets and they are not interchangeable, because the door glass changed shape between generations. The 2010–2015 set covers the four door windows only — a front pair, a rear pair, or all four together — with no boot or quarter panels. The 2016–2020 set covers those same door windows and adds a boot/tailgate window shade, plus combination kits (rear doors + boot, or all four doors + boot). Pick by your build year, not by eye; if your Cruze is right on a changeover year, send us the year and your VIN and we'll confirm which pattern matches before we cut anything.

Covers: Front driver and passenger door windows, Rear passenger door windows, All four door windows as one set, Boot / tailgate window (2016–2020 only).

Installation

  1. Match each panel to its window — the front and rear door shapes are different.
  2. Hold the magnetic border up to the steel frame around the glass and let it pull on.
  3. Run a finger around the edge so it sits flush into the corners of the frame.
  4. Peel from one corner to remove, then fold the panel flat into the door pocket.

Holden Cruze sun shade FAQs

Which Cruze set do I need?
Go by build year. We cut one pattern for the 2010–2015 Cruze and another for the 2016–2020 car. If you're unsure, or your car sits on a changeover year, send us the build year and VIN and we'll tell you which one matches.
Is there a boot window shade for the Cruze?
Only for the 2016–2020 Cruze. That set includes a boot/tailgate window panel on its own, or bundled with the rear doors or all four doors. The 2010–2015 set is door windows only.
Can I buy just the rear pair?
Yes, and it's the most popular choice for parents. The rear pair covers the two back door windows — where a child seat or a napping passenger sits — and it's available for both Cruze generations.
Can I leave them on while driving?
The rear shades are made to stay on. Fit the front pair while the car is parked to pre-cool it, and take those off before you drive so the front side windows are clear.
Will they mark the paint or the glass?
They shouldn't — the magnets sit on the painted steel frame rather than the glass, and there's no adhesive. Wipe grit off the frame before fitting, the same as you would before wiping down a door.
