Porsche Cayenne Window Shades
A Cayenne is usually parked outside rather than in a shed, and the leather and dark trim that make the cabin feel the way it does are exactly what suffers from a full afternoon of Australian sun. Side-window shades are the cheapest thing you can do about it.
Two cuts are listed: the 958-generation Cayenne from 2010 to 2017, and the current E3 car from 2018. The rear door aperture differs between them, so the generation decides the set.

Why Porsche Cayenne owners choose custom shades
Protects the trim you paid for
Side glass is where most of the direct sun reaches rear seats, door cards and belt webbing. Shades cut the UV and the surface heat on the material rather than just making the cabin feel darker.
Nothing adheres to the glass
The frame holds magnetically against the door surround. No suction cups, no adhesive film, nothing that can mark glass or leave residue on a car you intend to keep tidy.
Windows still operate
The glass drops behind the shade, so a rear window can be wound down with the shade fitted and the mesh keeps working.
Mesh, not a blackout panel
Rear passengers keep their view out and the cabin does not feel closed in. From outside it is harder to see what is on the back seat.
Features
Measured on the car, not scaled from a drawing
Each pattern is taken off an actual Cayenne, cut at the workshop, refitted and adjusted until the edge sits flush against the surround.
Buy the row you need
Front door pair $49.99, rear door pair $59.99, all four door windows $99.99.
A sunroof panel is listed separately
Both Cayenne generations have a matching sunroof shade listed as its own item if the panoramic roof is the part of the cabin letting heat in.
Fitment for your Porsche Cayenne
The 2010-2017 listing covers the 958 and 958.2 Cayenne. The 2018-2025 listing covers the E3 car, including the 2023 facelift, which did not change the door glass. Cayenne Coupe buyers should contact us before ordering: the Coupe's roofline alters the rear door aperture and is not covered by the standard SUV cut.
Covers: Front door windows, Rear door windows.
Installation
- Line the top edge of the shade up with the top of the door window frame.
- Press the frame onto the door surround from the top corners down so the magnets seat evenly.
- Run a finger along the bottom edge to confirm there is no gap.
- To remove, lift one top corner, peel the shade off in a single movement and store it flat.
Porsche Cayenne sun shade FAQs
- Which generation do I have?
- A Cayenne registered 2010 to 2017 is the 958; from 2018 it is the E3. If your car sits on the boundary, the build date on the compliance plate settles it rather than the year of registration.
- Will these fit a Cayenne Coupe?
- Not the standard set. The Coupe's lower roofline changes the shape of the rear door aperture, so contact us and we will measure it rather than sending a set that will not sit flush.
- Are sun shades legal on a Porsche Cayenne in Australia?
- Rear door shades are legal in every state and can stay fitted while you drive. Front door shades are for a parked car and should be removed before driving, because your view through the front side windows and mirrors must not be obstructed.
- Does the Cayenne's factory privacy glass make shades unnecessary?
- No. Privacy glass cuts visible light but very little heat, and it does not help with low sun coming in side-on in the afternoon. The shades work on top of it.
- Can the shades damage the door seals or paint?
- No. The frame is fabric-wrapped and rests against the surround. There is no clamp on the seal and nothing adhesive.
