Ford Ranger Sun Shades — Three Cuts, One Raptor, and the Two Years With No Set

The Ranger is the other ute that fills every Australian car park, and its fitment story has a hole in it that nobody mentions. Here is the honest version.

The 2012–2013 gap

This is the part worth reading twice. Ranger sets exist for 2006 through 2011 and again from 2014, and there is nothing in between. A 2012 or 2013 Ranger has no cut in the catalogue.

We would rather say that plainly than sell you a set that is close. A magnetic custom-fit shade is a template of one specific window; a set cut for a different body will either sit proud of the glass, leave a gap along the rear edge, or fail to hold. If you have a 2012 or 2013 Ranger, the useful options are:

• Check your compliance plate first. Ranger build years and model years do not always agree, and a ute sold as a 2014 is sometimes a late-2013 build, or the reverse. If the plate says 2014, the 2014–2021 set is yours. Ask us with the plate details if you are on the line.
• Otherwise, look at a universal or roller-type shade. We do not sell one. That is not a sales pitch and we are not going to pretend a Ranger set fits your car so we can take the order.

The Raptor is its own listing

The Ranger Raptor is cut separately, for 2019 to 2022 builds. Two things follow from that, and both matter:

• A Raptor inside those years takes the Raptor set, not a Ranger set of the same era.
• Outside those years there is no Raptor listing. A Raptor newer than 2022 is not covered by the Raptor product, and we are not going to tell you the 2022–2025 Ranger set will do the job when the catalogue does not say so. Same showroom, different glass

Three vehicles get ordered as "a Ranger" and are not one:

• Ford Everest — the wagon. Three separate listings: 2006–2016, 2017–2022 and 2023–2025. Also badged Endeavour in some markets, which is why searching that word lands you here. An Everest has rear quarter and tailgate glass a Ranger does not have, so the sets are not interchangeable in either direction.
• Mazda BT-50 — a related ute, cut under its own badge: 2013–2020 and 2021–2025. Order under the badge on your car.
• Ford Territory — a different vehicle again, with its own listing.

Cab style and trim

The listings are by build year and body, not by cab or by grade. Two Rangers of the same build year share door glass whatever the badge on the seats says, so they share a set. What changes the answer is the year and the body, which is exactly why the compliance plate is the number to go looking for rather than what the ad said when you bought it.

Sets cover the side door and, where fitted, boot or tailgate glass. There is no windscreen product in the range.
