Custom-Fit Sun Shades for the Suzuki Jimny
Also known as: Jimny JB74
The Jimny is the car universal shades fit worst. Its windows are small, nearly square and set upright, so a screen cut for a generic hatchback either hangs past the frame or covers barely half the glass. There is no stretching a one-size panel onto a shape this distinctive.
The set here is cut from the 2018-onwards Jimny's own door windows. The magnetic border grips the painted door surround, which is also what makes it stay put on the kind of roads a Jimny actually gets driven on — a suction cup walks loose over corrugations, a magnetic frame does not.
From $49.99 a pair, delivered Australia-wide.

Why Suzuki Jimny owners choose custom shades
Shaped for a window nothing else fits
Short, upright, almost square glass is the Jimny's signature and the reason generic screens look wrong on it. A cut panel follows the frame.
Stays put off the bitumen
The frame holds magnetically on the door surround rather than sticking to the glass, so vibration and corrugations do not shake it loose.
Keeps a small cabin liveable
There is not much air in a Jimny to begin with. Shading the glass before it heats up makes more difference here than it does in a big SUV.
Features
Cut for the JB74 Jimny, 2019 onwards
Patterned to the current three-door car's door glass, not adapted from an older Sierra.
See-through mesh
Cuts glare without blacking out a cabin that already has small windows.
Window still winds down
The panel sits on the frame, so you can drop the glass behind it for airflow on a warm day.
Packs flat
Folds down small enough to live in the door pocket, which matters in a car with no spare space.
Fitment for your Suzuki Jimny
Cut for the Suzuki Jimny JB74 three-door's front and rear door windows, 2019 onwards. If you have the five-door Jimny XL, check with us before ordering - its rear doors are a different shape and the three-door cut will not cover them. Earlier Jimny and Sierra models are not currently cut; send us the build year and we can quote a made-to-measure set.
Covers: Rear driver-side door window, Rear passenger-side door window, Front driver-side door window, Front passenger-side door window.
Installation
- Confirm whether your Jimny is the three-door or the five-door XL before ordering.
- Hold the panel against the door window frame, top edge first.
- Let the magnetic border pull itself onto the painted surround.
- Press the corners flat - on a square window a bowed corner is obvious.
- Lift one corner to remove, and fold the panels flat for the door pocket.
Suzuki Jimny sun shade FAQs
- Does this fit the five-door Jimny XL?
- The listed cut is for the three-door car. The XL has different rear door glass, so check with us with your build year before ordering rather than assuming the three-door panel will cover it.
- Will the shades survive corrugated dirt roads?
- Yes. That is the practical argument for a magnetic frame over suction cups on this car - the panel is held by the door surround, not stuck to the glass, so vibration does not work it loose.
- Is anything cut for an older Jimny or Sierra?
- Not at present. Send us the make, model and build year and we can quote a made-to-measure set; a panel cut for the wrong body is worse than none at all.
- Can I use them on the front windows while driving?
- No. Use the front panels only when parked. Rear side window shades are fine while driving, but every state and territory prohibits anything that obstructs the driver's view.
