Custom-Fit Sun Shades for the Suzuki Vitara and Grand Vitara
Three different cars have worn the Vitara badge in Australia, and they do not share glass. The square-cut 2003–2008 wagon, the longer-running Grand Vitara, and the current car launched here in 2015 each need their own pattern, which is why one "Vitara" shade off a shelf fits none of them properly.
Each set here is cut from that specific body's door windows, so the mesh finishes against the surround instead of overhanging it. The magnetic frame holds on the painted door frame rather than the glass, so there is nothing to re-press after the car has been sitting in the sun and nothing resting against the tint.
From $49.99 a pair, delivered Australia-wide. Be honest with yourself about which Vitara you have before ordering — the badge is the least reliable guide.

Why Suzuki Vitara owners choose custom shades
Right pattern for the right Vitara
The 2003–2008 car, the Grand Vitara and the 2015-on car have visibly different rear door apertures. Ordering by body rather than by badge is the whole point of a cut set.
Useful on a car that tows and camps
A Vitara spends weekends somewhere hot. Shaded rear glass keeps the back seat and whatever is on it out of direct sun without blacking out the cabin.
No suction cups to fail
The frame is held magnetically against the door surround. Nothing adheres to the glass, so heat does not make it let go.
Features
Three fitments
Vitara 2003–2008, Grand Vitara, and Vitara 2015–2026. Each is a separate cut, not a shared pattern.
Mesh you can see through
Cuts glare and direct sun on the back seat while leaving the outward view intact for passengers.
Front panels for parking
Front door panels are available for shading a parked car, and come off in a second before you drive.
Also sold as the Escudo
If your car is an import badged Escudo, it is the same vehicle as the Vitara of its year and the same cut applies.
Fitment for your Suzuki Vitara
Cut for Suzuki Vitara and Grand Vitara door windows. Three fitments are listed: Vitara 2003–2008, Grand Vitara, and Vitara 2015–2026. The 2009–2014 period has no cut at present — if that is your car, send us the build year and we can quote a made-to-measure set rather than approximate it with a neighbouring pattern. Check the build plate in the driver's door jamb if you are unsure which body you have.
Covers: Rear driver-side door window, Rear passenger-side door window, Front driver-side door window, Front passenger-side door window.
Installation
- Identify your Vitara body from the build plate, then choose the matching listing.
- Offer the panel up to the rear door window frame, top edge first.
- Let the magnetic border settle onto the painted surround.
- Press the corners flat so the mesh is taut rather than bowed.
- Lift from one corner to remove, and store the panels flat.
Suzuki Vitara sun shade FAQs
- Which Suzuki Vitara shade fits my car?
- Work from the build plate in the driver's door jamb rather than the badge. There are three cuts: the 2003–2008 wagon, the Grand Vitara, and the 2015-onwards car. They are not interchangeable.
- What about a 2009 to 2014 Vitara?
- There is no cut for that period yet. Send us the make, model and build year and we can quote a made-to-measure set — a panel cut for the wrong body is worse than none.
- Is the Escudo the same car?
- Yes. Escudo is the Japanese-market name for the Vitara and Grand Vitara, so the cut for the equivalent year applies to a grey import.
- Will the shades stay up on a dirt road?
- Yes. The magnetic frame grips the door surround rather than the glass, which is what keeps it in place over corrugations where a suction cup would walk loose.
