The current Carnival is the single listing we have sold the most of since late June: eight orders, ten items, more than any other one generation of any car we cut. Five of those orders went to NSW, two to VIC and one to QLD. Six of the eight included the sliding-door windows, and three took the third-row windows as well. Nobody bought the complete set. People shade the rows where people sit.
We cut two generations of Carnival. This page sorts out which one you have, which windows each listing covers, and the older vans we do not cut.

The owner filmed this in a Carnival with the shades fitted. The Carnival 2020–2026 product page is where the short clip plays.
The two Carnivals we cut
| What you have | Kia's code | Sold here | Windows we cut | Product |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current Carnival, including the 2024 facelift | KA4 | Late 2020 on | Front doors, sliding doors, third-row windows, tailgate | Carnival 2020–2026 |
| Previous Carnival | YP | 2015 to 2020 | Front doors, sliding doors, third-row windows, tailgate | Listed as Grand Carnival 2015–2021 |
Both listings carry the same menu and the same prices. The Kia Carnival page shows them side by side.
Which one is yours
The KA4 arrived in Australia at the end of 2020 as a 2021 model, and the YP was sold until then. That is why the two listings overlap: the KA4 listing starts at 2020 and the YP listing runs to 2021. A van registered in 2020 or 2021 could be either.
The body settles it. The KA4 is the squarer, more SUV-looking van that is on sale now; the YP is the rounder one before it. If you are still unsure, the build date on the compliance plate decides it. The guide to working out your generation explains how to read it. The two vans have different door glass, so a set cut for one will not sit right on the other.
The YP listing's name
The YP listing is titled "Grand Carnival 2015–2021", and its address uses Sedona, the name the same van carried in other markets. In Australia the YP was sold as the Carnival. Here, "Grand Carnival" was the name of the van before it, the VQ of 2006 to 2014, which we do not cut. If you own a VQ Grand Carnival, that listing is not for your car, whatever the title says.

Most of the YP menu is made to order, so allow for that if you are fitting before a trip. The YP listing has not shipped a set since late June; nearly all our Carnival work is the KA4.
What the windows are
A Carnival has three windows down each side, plus the tailgate:
- Front doors. The pair is cut short of the mirror, so your view of it and your toll tag stay clear.
- Sliding doors. The second row. On a Carnival this is where child seats usually go, and it is the glass most of our buyers start with.
- Third-row windows. The fixed quarter glass behind the sliding doors. Elsewhere in the shop we call this the port window. On the Carnival it really is beside the third row, so the listing's "Third-Row Side Windows" name is accurate.
- Tailgate. The rear glass in the lift-up tailgate.
The panel fits into the window frame rather than sticking to the glass, and you can leave a window down with the shade in place. It still stops sun and insects. We recommend taking the shades off for highway driving.

Prices
Single zones: front pair $49.99, sliding-door pair $59.99, third-row pair $49.99, tailgate $59.99.
The common combinations:
- Front and sliding doors: $99.99
- Sliding doors plus third row: $99.99
- Sliding doors plus tailgate: $108.99
- Front, sliding and third row: $145.99
- Front, sliding and tailgate: $154.99
- Every window: $199.99
There are also front-plus-third-row ($90.99), third-row-plus-tailgate ($99.99) and a few other mixes on the product page.
What Carnival buyers order
Since late June, the KA4 orders broke down like this:
- Sliding-door pair on its own: three orders. This is the most common first purchase. It covers the second row and nothing else.
- Sliding doors plus third row: two orders. For families who use all three rows. It costs the same $99.99 as the front-and-sliding set, but it shades two rows of passengers instead of one.
- Four doors plus the third-row pair: one order. Both front and back covered, with only the tailgate left clear.
- Front pair: two orders, both from VIC, one with the tailgate added.
Where a buyer gave a model year, it was 2023 to 2026. If you are not sure which windows matter for how you use the van, the guide to choosing which windows to shade works through it. For a Carnival, our answer is the sliding doors first, then the third row if anyone sits there.
Front-door shades are for parked use. The guide to sun shade rules in Australia covers the rules on what you can have up while driving.
The roof
Some Carnivals have factory roof glass, and there is a two-panel sunroof set for the KA4 and one for the YP, $69.99 each. It is an insulated panel, not mesh, and it only fits a van that left the factory with a glass roof. Both are made to order.
The Carnivals we do not cut
- VQ Grand Carnival, 2006 to 2014. No cut, despite the similar name on our YP listing.
- The first Carnival, sold here before 2006. No cut.
If you have either one, the measuring app gets you a quote for a set cut to your van.
Ordering
Check the body first, then the year. If you have the current van from late 2020 on, use the Carnival 2020–2026 listing. If you have the 2015 to 2020 van, use the YP listing (titled Grand Carnival). If you have anything older, use the app. Start with the sliding doors, and add the third row if it is in use. The full Kia list covers the other Kia fits, including the Sorento and Sportage.
