Nissan Window Shades Australia: All 22 Fits, and the X-Trail Code That Decides Yours

Auto Sunshades Team

Nissan sells the same car under different names in different markets, and Australia has been on the receiving end of that more than most. The Qashqai was a Dualis here. The Maxima is a Teana elsewhere. The Pulsar name has been attached to at least three different bodies. If you are ordering a cut-to-shape window shade, the badge is not enough — you need the code.

Auto Sunshades cuts 22 Nissans, every set from $49.99. Here is the whole list, organised so you can find your car by whichever name you know it by.

X-Trail: three chassis codes and a fourth listing

The X-Trail is our most-split Nissan and the one that generates the most wrong orders, because three generations of it are still everywhere on Australian roads.

ListingYearsProduct
X-Trail T302001–2007/products/nissan-x-trail-t30-2001-2007
X-Trail T312007–2013/products/nissan-x-trail-t31-2007-2013
X-Trail T322014–2022/products/nissan-x-trail-t32-2014-2022
X-Trailsingle cut, no year split (alias: Rogue)/products/nissan-x-trail

Three things worth knowing:

2007 appears in both the T30 and the T31 listing. The generation changed during that year. If you are a 2007 build, the compliance plate or a VIN decoder will tell you which of the two you have, and that is what to order on — the T31 is the larger body and its glass is not interchangeable with the T30's.

There is a fourth, undated X-Trail listing that carries the Rogue alias, which is the North American name for the same vehicle. It is not a T30/T31/T32 substitute — treat it as its own product and check the fitment note on its page.

The dated cuts stop at 2022. If you have a 2023-or-later X-Trail, none of the three coded listings is cut for it. Start at the vehicle page — /sun-shades/nissan-x-trail — rather than assuming the T32 set will stretch.

Navara: D40, then the 2015-on car

ListingYearsAliasesProduct
Navara D402005–2015/products/nissan-navara-d40-2005-2015
Navara2015–2024Frontier/products/nissan-navara-2015-2024

2015 is in both, and this one is worth getting right because the change was a full body change, not a facelift. The D40 code is on the older truck's compliance plate; if yours does not carry it, you are on the 2015-on listing. The Frontier alias on the newer listing is the American name for the same ute.

Both are dual-cab cuts. Full detail is on the vehicle page at /sun-shades/nissan-navara.

Qashqai: the five-seat and the seven-seat are different cars

If you bought this car new in Australia between 2007 and 2013 it was badged Dualis, and the seven-seat version was the Dualis+2. Both aliases sit on our listings, so searching either name will find you the right one — but you must pick the correct body:

ListingAliasProduct
Qashqai 5 seatsDualis/products/nissan-qashqai-5-seats
Qashqai 7 seatsDualis+2/products/nissan-qashqai-7-seats

The seven-seat car is longer behind the rear door and carries a third row, so the rear-most side glass is a different size and shape. A five-seat set on a seven-seat car leaves that panel bare — the exact window a child in the back row is sitting against. If your car has a third row of seats, order the seven-seat listing.

Neither listing is split by year, so check the product page against your build.

Pulsar, Sunny, Almera, Tiida: the tangle

This is the messiest corner of the Nissan list, because the same small cars have circulated under four names. Here is what actually exists:

ListingAliasesProduct
Pulsar SedanSentra/products/nissan-pulsar-sedan
SunnyPulsar, Almera/products/nissan-sunny
AlmeraSunny, Versa/products/nissan-almera
Tiida HatchbackLatio/products/nissan-tiida-hatchback
Tiida SedanLatio/products/nissan-tiida-sedan
Bluebird/products/nissan-bluebird

Two practical notes. First, the Tiida is split by body and not by year — the hatch and the sedan have genuinely different rear-door and rear-quarter glass, so the two listings are not interchangeable, and Latio is the same car under a different badge. Second, "Pulsar" appears as a listing name and as an alias on the Sunny. If you own a Pulsar, look at the shape: a sedan points at the Pulsar Sedan listing; anything else, open both product pages and match the fitment note before ordering. None of these six is split by year, so the product page is the source of truth.

Maxima is listed with the Teana alias

ListingYearsAliasProduct
Maxima2009–2015Teana/products/nissan-maxima-2009-2015
Maxima2016–2020Teana/products/nissan-maxima-2016-2020

Straightforward split at the generation change. There is no Maxima cut after 2020.

The rest: one cut each, no year split

Juke/products/nissan-juke
Kicks/products/nissan-kicks
LivinaGrand Livina/products/nissan-livina
Murano/products/nissan-murano
PatrolArmada/products/nissan-patrol
Terra/products/nissan-terra

The Patrol is the one to be careful with, because it is the longest-running nameplate here and the listing is a single cut rather than a generation split. Armada is the same wagon's North American name. Before you order for a Patrol, open the product page and check the fitment note against your body — a Y61 and a Y62 are not the same glass, and one cut cannot be both.

What each set covers

Nissan sets on this page are cut for front doors, rear doors, the boot or tailgate glass, third-row quarter windows on the seven-seaters, and the fixed port window behind the rear door where the vehicle has one. There is no windscreen piece in any of them; that is a separate category and we have written about what works there.

On the Qashqai 7-seat, the Patrol and the Terra, the third-row and port pieces are the ones that make the difference on a long summer run, and they are the pieces most commonly missing from a generic two-piece kit. Our privacy guide covers what mesh does and does not hide back there.

The 30-second version

  1. X-Trail? Find your code: T30, T31 or T32. 2007 could be either of the first two. 2023 on is not covered by the dated cuts.
  2. Navara? D40 or the 2015-on truck. Do not order on the plate year alone if you are a 2015.
  3. Dualis? That is a Qashqai listing — a third row means the seven-seat set.
  4. Teana, Sentra, Versa, Latio, Rogue, Armada, Frontier? Search that name; it is an alias on one of the listings above.

If you want to see how this coverage compares with the other custom-fit brands sold here, our alternatives round-up is the honest version, including the cars where someone else is a better answer.
