The MU-X and the D-Max come off the same line and share most of what is under them, and none of that matters for a shade. The ute has two rows of door glass and a cab wall behind them; the wagon carries three rows of glass and a tailgate. We cut them separately, and each one is split by build year. Four Isuzu listings cover the cars most people are actually driving, plus one for the Trooper that Holden sold as the Jackaroo.

The Isuzu cuts
| Vehicle | Build years | Also searched as | Product |

Every listing is from $49.99 for a pair of door windows: $49.99 for the front pair, $59.99 for the rear pair and $99.99 for all four doors. The model pages — Isuzu MU-X and Isuzu D-Max — collect the same listings if you would rather start there.
The names in the middle column are what the same car is called on forums and parts sites. They are there so a search for "D-Max RG shades" lands somewhere, not because RG is written anywhere on your ute.
The 2020 D-Max can be either ute
The current D-Max arrived in Australia in the second half of 2020. That puts 2020 in the gap between our two D-Max listings on purpose: a ute registered in 2020 is the old body if it was built early in the year and the new one if it was built late, and the two do not share door glass.
The year on your rego papers will not settle it. The compliance plate will — it carries the build month, and that is the number that decides which listing you take. It is on the driver's door jamb or under the bonnet on most D-Maxes. If the plate is unreadable, the two bodies are different enough that a photo of the rear door from outside answers it in seconds, and we are happy to look at one before you order. There is a longer guide to build dates and plates if the idea is new to you.
The MU-X changed over a year later, in mid-2021, which is why its listings meet at 2020 and 2021 with no gap. A 2021 MU-X is the new body unless it was built in the first half of that year, and the same plate check applies.
The years before our listings start
Both first-generation cars were on sale before the years our listings begin. The MU-X arrived in 2013 and the old D-Max in 2012, and the 2017 facelift on both changed the nose rather than the doors.
Our listings say 2016 and 2015 because those are the years the patterns have been confirmed against. If you have a 2013–2015 MU-X or a 2012–2014 D-Max, the body is the same one the listing covers, but we would rather you asked than assumed. Send the build year and we will tell you whether to order.
The Trooper is the outlier in the table: one listing, no year range, and if you are still driving one you probably know it better than we do. It is a door-pair set, and it is made to order.
What the MU-X set covers, and what it does not
This is the one to read before ordering for the wagon. The MU-X is a seven-seater with a third row of side glass and a tailgate window, and we do not currently list a third-row or tailgate panel for it. Both MU-X listings are door pairs: the front two, the rear two, or all four.
For most MU-X owners that is still the set that solves the problem. The rear door windows are where the second row sits, where the child seats are, and where the afternoon sun lands on the drive home — and across every car we sell, the rear door pair on its own is more than half of what people order. If you regularly carry passengers in the third row and want that glass covered, tell us; it is the reason a listing would be added.
The D-Max has no such gap. A dual cab has four door windows and a fixed rear cab window, and the door pairs are the whole job. Single and space cabs take the front pair only.
The badge that is not an Isuzu
The 2021-on Mazda BT-50 is built by Isuzu on the D-Max, and it has its own listings. Order by the badge on the tailgate. If you want to know whether a D-Max set would go on a BT-50, ask first — we would rather check than have you find out on the driveway.
Ordering
Find your build year on the compliance plate, pick the matching listing above, and if your D-Max is a 2020 or your MU-X a 2021, send the build month before you order. The full Isuzu list has the same five listings, and sets not on the shelf are made to order, usually one to two weeks.
