We cut two Tiguans: the first one, the 5N, and the long seven-seat Allspace. We do not cut the five-seat Tiguan that replaced the 5N, or the current one. So before anything else on this page, check which of the three bodies you have, because the Allspace set looks like it should cover a 2018-on Tiguan and it does not.
The three Tiguan orders we can attribute have all been the rear door pair: two Allspace sets, to NSW and VIC, and one first-generation set to VIC. That is the usual pattern on a family SUV. The rear doors are where the child seats are, and they take the afternoon sun on the drive home.
The two Tiguan cuts

|---|---|---|---|---|
| First Tiguan, five seats | 5N | 2009–2017 | Front and rear doors | Tiguan 2009–2017 |
| Tiguan Allspace, seven seats | Long-wheelbase second gen | 2018–2024 | Front and rear doors | Tiguan Allspace 2018–2024 |
| Second Tiguan, five seats | AD1 | 2016 on | Not cut | Measure it |
| Current, third Tiguan | Latest model | Not cut | Measure it |
Both listings are priced the same: $49.99 for the front pair, $59.99 for the rear pair, or $99.99 for all four doors. Neither listing has a panel for the fixed glass behind the rear door or for the tailgate, so on both cars a set covers the four doors and nothing further back. Most Tiguan sets are made to order rather than sitting on the shelf. The Tiguan page has both cuts side by side.
The first Tiguan, 5N

The 5N is the original compact Tiguan, a five-seat SUV built on the same underpinnings as the Golf of its day. It is a rounder, softer-looking car than the one that replaced it, with a taller, more upright glasshouse. Our listing covers 2009 to 2017. The front pair, rear pair and four-door set are cut for its door glass and nothing else.
The years overlap with the next car, which is where people get caught. The second-generation Tiguan arrived here in 2016, and our 5N listing runs to 2017, so a 2016 or 2017 Tiguan could be either. Only the 5N takes this set. Side by side they are easy to tell apart: the later car is lower, longer and much sharper at the edges, with a flatter bonnet and a wide, flat grille. If a photo does not settle it, the build month on the compliance plate will; our guide to build dates and generations explains how to read it.
The Allspace, 2018–2024

The Allspace is the stretched version of the second-generation Tiguan: a longer wheelbase, longer rear doors and a third row of seats. That longer rear door is the whole reason it has its own set. The rear door glass is a different length and shape from the five-seat car's, so a panel cut for one will not seal on the other.
Our Allspace listing covers the doors only: front pair, rear pair or all four. There is no third-row panel in it and no tailgate panel. If the third row is where your children ride, the rear door pair still shades the second row, but the long quarter glass beside the third row stays uncovered.
The easy way to be sure you have an Allspace: count the seats, or look at the gap between the rear door and the back wheel. The Allspace has a noticeably longer body behind the rear door and a third row that folds out of the boot floor.
What we do not cut
The five-seat second-generation Tiguan, AD1, from 2016 on. We have no cut for it. It shares a front end with the Allspace, which is why it is easy to assume the Allspace set fits. It does not. The Allspace's rear doors are longer, so the rear pair would be the wrong size, and a panel that does not match the frame is a panel that lets light in around the edge and will not stay put. Please do not order the Allspace set for a five-seat 2018-on Tiguan.
The current, third-generation Tiguan. Also not cut.
For either of these, the AS Measure app is the way to get a quote. You photograph each window with a LiDAR-equipped iPhone and we do the measuring from that, rather than guessing from a near match.
Ordering
Seats first, then years. Five seats and the rounder 2009-to-2017 body takes the Tiguan 2009–2017 set. Seven seats and a 2018-to-2024 build takes the Allspace set. Five seats and the sharper body from 2016 on is one we cannot help with yet, and the same goes for the current Tiguan.
For most people the rear pair at $59.99 is the place to start; the guide to choosing which windows to cover explains why. The full Volkswagen list covers the Polo, Golf, Teramont and the rest.
