Suzuki Window Shades Australia: All 13 Fits, and the Vitara Years With No Cut

Suzuki's Australian range is small, which ought to make fitment simple. It does not, for one reason: the word "Vitara" has been attached to at least three different vehicles sold here, two of which are separate listings in our catalogue and one of which has no cut at all.

Vitara, New Vitara, Grand Vitara: three names, and one hole

There is no Vitara cut for 2009 to 2014. The older listing stops at 2008 and the current-shape car starts at 2015. That is a six-year window with nothing, and it covers a car plenty of Australians still own.

The Grand Vitara is a separate product, not a size option on the Vitara listings. It is a taller, more traditional 4WD body with different rear glass, and its listing carries no year split — so its product page's fitment note is the thing to check, not a year range. Both it and the 2003–2008 Vitara carry the Escudo alias, which is the Japanese-market name shared across that family. If you are working from a Japanese import's documentation, that alias is how you will find the listing.

The 2015-on listing is aliased New Vitara, which is what dealers and classifieds often call the current small SUV to separate it from the older 4WD. If your car is the low, car-like crossover, it is the New Vitara listing you want. If it looks like a proper compact off-roader, look at the Grand Vitara or the 2003–2008 cut.

The Jimny: current shape only

One cut, and it is worth being direct about what it excludes. The Jimny nameplate ran in Australia for two decades before 2018, and the earlier car is a completely different body with different glass. Nothing on our list is cut for a pre-2018 Jimny.

If yours is the current three-door — the boxy one — the 2018–2026 listing is a straightforward fit. If yours is the older one, we do not have it, and the alternatives round-up is a more useful page for you than this one.

The Swift: two cuts, nothing before 2014

A clean split at the generation change, with no overlapping year to worry about — 2018 belongs to the first listing, 2019 to the second.

There is no Swift cut before 2014. The Swifts Australia bought in volume from 2005 onwards are not covered, which is a meaningful gap given how many are still on the road as first cars.

The Ertiga: two cuts, and it is a seven-seater

Split at the generation change, no overlap. The Ertiga matters on a fitment page because it is a three-row people mover in a small footprint, which means the set includes glass most small-Suzuki buyers never think about — the third-row quarter windows and the port glass behind the rear door. Those are the panels that decide whether the back row is bearable in February.

Listed with one cut and no year split

Two of these are worth a note. The Wagon listing is the car sold as the Wagon R — a tall, narrow kei-derived hatch whose glass is nothing like a Swift's, so do not treat the two as interchangeable. The XL7 is a seven-seat body and is listed separately from the Ertiga even though the two are related; order on the badge.

What a Suzuki set covers

Every set here is cut for front doors, rear doors, the boot or tailgate glass, third-row quarter windows on the Ertiga and XL7, and the fixed port window behind the rear door where there is one. There is no windscreen piece in any Suzuki set — that is a different product entirely, and we cover what works on a windscreen separately.

Small cars are where side shades earn their keep fastest. A Swift or a Celerio has far less glass area than an SUV but also far less cabin volume to absorb the heat, and on the base models the rear door glass often has no factory tint at all. Ordering

1. Vitara? Decide first whether you have the old 4WD, the Grand Vitara, or the 2015-on crossover. If your car is a 2009–2014 Vitara, we do not have a cut.
2. Jimny? 2018 or later only.
3. Swift? 2014 or later only; 2018 and 2019 fall either side of the split.
4. Ertiga? 2013–2018 or 2019–2025, no overlap.
5. Anything else? Single cut — check the fitment note on the product page.
