Toyota Corolla Cross Sun Shades: Doors, Quarter, Tailgate

Auto Sunshades Team

The Corolla Cross arrived in Australia in late 2022, and it is a different car from the Corolla hatch and sedan, not a taller version of them. The doors, the glass and the tailgate are all its own, so a Corolla set will not fit it and neither will a Yaris Cross or RAV4 set. We cut one listing for it, and it covers more of the car than most people expect: the four doors, the small fixed windows behind the rear doors, and the tailgate glass.

One listing, every position

PositionWhat it coversPrice
Front pairDriver and front passenger door glass$49.99
Rear pairBoth rear door windows$59.99
Quarter windowsThe fixed glass behind each rear door, as a pair$49.99
TailgateThe rear glass in the hatch$59.99

The combinations follow from those. All four doors are $99.99. Rear doors plus the quarter windows are $99.99, rear doors plus the tailgate $108.99, and every window on the car $199.99. The product is Toyota Corolla Cross, and the Corolla Cross page carries the same listing.

Everything on the Corolla Cross listing is made to order at the moment, so allow extra time over an in-stock set.

The quarter windows are not a third row

On the listing, the quarter pair is called "Third-Row Side Windows". That name comes from our seven-seat listings and does not describe this car. The Corolla Cross is a five-seater. On it, the piece means the small fixed window in the pillar behind each rear door, the glass beside the back of the rear seat.

With only the rear door shades fitted, that pane is the one piece of bare glass left beside the back seat. Whether it matters depends on who sits there and which way the car is parked; for a car with child seats in the back it is usually worth going from the $59.99 rear pair to the $99.99 rear-and-quarter set. The quarter-window guide has more on how these pieces work across different cars.

Why there is no year range

The Corolla Cross has had one body in Australia so far, so the listing has no years attached. A 2023 car and a 2024 car take the same set.

There is one thing to check. Toyota updated the Corolla Cross in the second half of 2025, with a new grille and new headlights, and a GR Sport version joined the range. Our workshop photos are of the earlier car, a Corolla Cross bought in Vietnam, and we have not had a 2025-on car in to check the set against. Toyota did not announce a new body, so the doors should match, but we would rather you checked with us than found out at the kerb. If yours was built from mid-2025, send us a photo of a rear door, opened, before ordering, and we will confirm it.

For anything earlier, from late 2022 through to the update, order the listing as it is. The guide to working out your generation explains how to read the build date off the compliance plate if you are not sure which side of the update yours falls.

Which windows to start with

Most people start with the rear doors, and for a Corolla Cross that mostly carries adults it is enough. The which-windows guide goes through the reasoning.

For a family car, the rear doors plus the quarter windows at $99.99 shade the whole side of the back seat. If a dog rides in the back, or shopping sits there in a car park for an hour, the tailgate panel is the addition that matters, and rear doors plus tailgate is $108.99.

The front pair is for when the car is parked. Front side windows have to stay clear while you drive, so take them out before you move off; the road rules page covers what is allowed.

If you have a different Toyota

The Corolla Cross gets mixed up with three other cars. The Corolla hatch and sedan have their own listings by generation. The smaller Yaris Cross is in the small SUV guide alongside the Kona and Crosstrek. The RAV4 page covers the size up. None of their sets fit the Corolla Cross, and it doesn't take theirs.

Ordering

One listing, so the only decision before ordering is whether yours was built from mid-2025. If it was, send the rear-door photo first. Every other Toyota we cut is on the Toyota list.
