Older Sedan Sun Shades: Lancer, Accord, Aurion, Laser
A lot of the sedans we cut shades for are not new. They are the Lancer that was someone's first car and is now the kids' car, the Accord a parent bought in 2010 and never saw a reason to replace, the Aurion that came out of a fleet with plenty of life left. People keep these cars for years, and the order we see most often for them is the simplest one: the rear pair, for whoever sits in the back.
Older cars also make fitment harder. Several of these listings were cut from cars sold in Asia, and a few give no build years at all. So this page goes car by car: what each listing covers, which Australian car it lines up with, and where you should send us a photo before you order.
| Car | Listing | Build years on the listing | Windows we cut | Product |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mitsubishi Lancer | Lancer | Not stated (photos show the 2007–2017 sedan) | Front and rear doors | Lancer |
| Mitsubishi Lancer | Lancer Gala | 2003–2005 | Front and rear doors | Lancer Gala 2003–2005 |
| Mitsubishi Lancer | Lancer | 2000–2003 | Front and rear doors | Lancer 2000–2003 |

Prices are the same on every door set: $49.99 for the front pair, $59.99 for the rear pair, $99.99 for all four doors. On the two newer Accords the rear windscreen panel is $59.99 on its own or $108.99 with the rear doors. Only two of these listings have sets on the shelf right now, the Lancer 2000–2003 and the Lancer Gala. Everything else is made to order, usually one to two weeks.
Why the rear pair first
On a sedan, the back seat is where the sun gets in and nobody can do much about it. The driver has a visor and the front passengers can move. A kid in a booster seat behind the driver gets the afternoon sun through the rear door glass on the way home from school.
So most people start with the rear pair at $59.99. Front shades are for when the car is parked: they are not for driving, and the state-by-state guide to the rules explains why. The guide to which windows to cover goes through the rest of the choices.
On every listing here, the shades hold in normal driving. Take them off before a run at highway speeds.
Mitsubishi Lancer

The Lancer most people are searching for is the sedan Mitsubishi sold here from 2007 to 2017, and we have three Lancer listings to sort through.
The plain Lancer listing gives no build years. Its workshop photos include that 2007–2017 sedan (the red car above), and the most recent Lancer order we had was for a 2017 sedan, which took the rear pair from this listing. The same listing also carries photos of two older Lancers, so it is not as tidy as it should be. If you have a 2007–2017 car, this is the one to look at, but compare your rear door with the red car's before ordering. The shade fits into the door frame rather than holding on magnets. All three door sets are made to order.
The Lancer Gala 2003–2005 listing is cut from the sedan sold in Asia as the Lancer Gala. Its workshop photos show the shape that came before the 2007 car. That car was sold in Australia too, but over a longer run of years than the listing gives, so if your Lancer is a mid-2000s sedan, send us a rear-door photo first. One of each set is on the shelf.
The Lancer 2000–2003 listing is the older shape again, and it fits into the door frame. Two front-and-rear sets are on the shelf. The product page uses a picture of a 2007-on car for its main image, which is wrong for this listing, so go by the workshop photos and send us a photo of your rear door before you order.
The Lancer page has the plain and 2000–2003 listings, and the Mitsubishi list covers the rest of the range.
Honda Accord

We have five Accord listings, going back to 1990.
First, the Accord Euro. Honda sold two different cars here with Accord in the name from the early 2000s to the mid 2010s. The Accord Euro is the smaller one, and we do not cut it. Every listing on this page is the full-size Accord. If your badge says Euro, none of these will fit.
Accord 2007–2013 is the big sedan pictured above. It has the most workshop photos of any car on this page, front and rear doors, and the shade fits into the door frame. Door sets only.
Accord 2013–2017 and Accord 2018–2022 add a panel for the rear windscreen. Both listings also show a "Third-Row" pair, but the Accord has no third row. If you want the small glass behind the rear door covered, message us before ordering that pair. Australia got the 2018-on shape later than some other markets, so a 2019 or 2020 car could be either one. Check the build date on the compliance plate, and the guide to build dates and generations shows where to find it. Both are made to order.
Accord 1994–1997 and Accord 1990–1993 are door sets that mount magnetically. The 1994–1997 workshop photos show that shape, a dark sedan with tan trim, though the product's main picture is a recent Accord, so ignore that one. The 1990–1993 listing has no workshop photo at all, only a stock picture of the car, so send us a rear-door photo before ordering. Both are made to order.
The Accord page lists all five, and the Honda list covers the other Hondas.
Toyota Aurion
The Aurion listing gives 2009–2014. That range takes in two Australian Aurions, the one built until 2012 and the reshaped car that followed. The workshop photos are labelled as a Camry and Avalon from 2007–2012, and the main product image is a later Camry. We cannot tell you from the listing which Aurion it was cut for.
So send us a photo of your rear door, with the build year, before ordering. It is a door set, front and rear, and it is made to order. The Toyota list has the Camry listings, several of which cover the years around the Aurion.
Ford Laser

The Laser listing gives no build years. Its workshop photos are a late-1990s Laser sedan with beige trim, cut from a car sold in Asia. The Laser left Australia in 2002, when the Focus replaced it, so every Laser still on the road here is at least that old. The set mounts magnetically and covers the front and rear doors.
Because the listing has no years and the photos are not an Australian car, send us a photo of your rear door, and tell us whether it is a hatch or a sedan, before ordering. It is made to order. The Ford list covers the Focus and the other Fords.
Commodore and Falcon
We do not cut either. There is no Commodore listing in any generation or body, and no Falcon. The Holden list has the Holdens we do cut, such as the Cruze. If you drive a Commodore or a Falcon, the measuring app is how to get a quote for a custom set.
Before you order
Write down the build year from the compliance plate and take a photo of the rear door, open, from the outside. For the plain Lancer, the Lancer Gala and 2000–2003, the 1990–1993 Accord, the Aurion and the Laser, send us that photo before you order. It takes a minute and saves you a return.
If a set does turn out wrong, you have 30 days under our returns policy.
